Starting on June 20, the federally-funded, community-based counseling program California HOPE of Ventura County will be at the Ojai Library from 6-7:30 pm on Wednesdays to offer a series of free support groups to adults recovering from the effects of the Thomas Fire. This group will meet weekly with the exception of July 4, when the library will be closed in observance of Independence Day.
California HOPE was created to support the community following the Thomas Fire. The team provides specific services aimed at addressing the ongoing behavioral health needs of the community, in collaboration with Ventura County Behavioral counseling, wellness education, and referrals to appropriate support services.
CA HOPE of Ventura County is offering a free community support group at the Ojai Library for anyone recovering from the Thomas Fire. The Thomas Fire support group will meet every Wednesday starting on June 20th for 8 consecutive weeks, ending on August 8th. Please note there will not be a meeting on July 4th.
Individual drop-ins will be available from 5-6 pm and Support Groups will run from 6-7:30 pm. Please call and register at 805-833-9495.
