The Ojai Valley Museum invites the community to view their newest exhibition at a free reception on Saturday, February 1. “22 Miles: Ojai Valley Landscapes” was co-curated by two well-known local artists, Jennifer Moses and Gail Pidduck. The title refers to the distance between their two homes on opposite ends of the valley.

The curators asked nineteen of their favorite Southern California artists to join them in painting scenes of the Ojai Valley. The artists include Meredith Brooks Abbott, Robert Abbott, Whitney Abbott, Jannene Behl, Susan Cook, Steve Curry, Karl Dempwolf, Bruce Everett, Rick Garcia, Whitney Hansen, Connie Jenkins, Mark Kerckhoff, Eric Merrell, Jennifer Moses, Susan Petty, Gail Pidduck, Ian Roberts, Dan Schultz, Arturo Tello, Elizabeth Tolley and Anne Ward.

From Lake Casitas to downtown to Chief Peak and beyond, the artists captured a number of beloved local scenes. The exhibition includes both large scale and miniature landscape paintings.

The exhibition reception for “22 Miles: Ojai Valley Landscapes” takes place Saturday night, February 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The reception is free, with a no host wine bar.

“22 Miles: Ojai Valley Landscapes” opens February 1 and will be on view through April 19, 2020.
