SUMMARY:OJAI ART CENTER THEATER - Rope
DESCRIPTION:Rope\n  \nOjai Arts Theater is delighted to unveil its upcoming production\, “ROPE\,” a captivating play by Patrick Hamilton. Directed by the talented Kimberly Demmary and produced by Rosie Gordon\, the show promises to enthrall audiences with its suspenseful narrative and intricate moral dilemmas. \n  \nInspired by the infamous 1924\, Leopold and Loeb murders\, “ROPE” follows the gripping tale of two young university students: Wyndham Brandon\, played by Jon Markham\, and Charles Granillo\, played by Evan Roush. They commit a heinous crime and hide the evidence in plain sight. Their secret is concealed within a chest that becomes the centerpiece of their living room in London. With audacious confidence\, the duo hosts a gathering of their victim’s friends and family\, with the chest looming ominously in the background\, casting a pall over the evening’s festivities. \n  \nAs the story unfolds\, tensions mount and suspicion arises among the guests\, particularly through the keen observations of Rupert Cadell\, their former school master portrayed by Eric Andersen. As the guests question the contents of the chest\, the play delves into the intricate interplay of morality\, deception\, and the pursuit of justice. \n  \nDon’t miss the opportunity to witness the enthralling drama and moral complexity of “ROPE” at Ojai Arts Theater. Get your tickets today and immerse yourself in a world of suspense\, deception\, and gripping intrigue. \n  \nThe cast features an ensemble of talented actors: \n– Jon Markham as Wyndham Brandon \n– Evan Roush as Charles Granillo \n– Eric Andersen as Rupert Cadell \n– Raymond Mastrovito as Sir Johnstone Kentley \n– Stephanie Blaze Bates as Leila Arden \n– William Palo as Kenneth Raglan \n– Theresa Secor as Mrs. Debenham \n– Lenny Klaif as Sabot \n  \n“ROPE” is scheduled to run from September 29th to October 22nd\, offering a compelling theatrical experience for all.
