Ojai Art Center Theatre

The Ojai Art Center Theater is part of a creative community all housed at the Art Center.

The Ojai Art Center is the longest continuously-operating center serving the arts in the State of California.

Since those early years, the Art Center has housed a 120-seat theater which has served thousands of Ojai and area residents each year.

The Theater presents a variety of dramatic productions, ranging from comedy to drama and musicals, annually. A play-reading committee annually screens proposals for future productions and presents a tentative schedule for approval by the Board of Directors — all volunteers — who oversee the operation of the facility.

The OACT is one of Ventura County’s outstanding nonprofit organizations. It is as vibrant and active today as it has ever been, involving and serving thousands of local citizens who are engaged, entertained, and enriched by contact with its classes, programs, activities, events, and facilities.
