Ojai Herbal Symposium now offering 10 Continuing Education units for California Acupuncturists

The Ojai Herbal Symposium on Natural Resilience has been accepted as CE provider #1526 by the California Acupuncture Board. Twelve of our courses are now formally approved for Category 1 credit. Each LAc can earn up to 10 CEUs over the weekend as some qualifying classes are offered at the same time during Sunday afternoon breakout sessions. Please share this news with friends and doctors who may need them and, of course, consider attending yourself regardless of your profession.

Included in the 12 potential units are three lectures by Kevin Spelman, PhD, an internationally recognized expert in plant chemistry and consultant to the natural foods industry. In addition to his Friday evening keynote address on “Insights into Resilience: The Human-Plant Connection,” he will give talks Saturday on “Cannabidiol: The Anxiolytic, Anti-Inflammatory, Analgesic, Nootropic, Non-Euphoric Cannabinoid” and “The Terpenes of Cannabis.”

You’ll see why the CA Acupuncture Board recognizes the Symposium as a serious effort to bring together experts, practitioners and authors from across the medical/healing spectrum in an exploration of the value of medicinal plants for human health.

Also included in the weekend’s events are an Herbal Marketplace open to the public on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. at Chaparral Auditorium and a “Phytotherapeutic Phunk Dance and Elixir Bar” at Greater Goods in Meiners Oaks on Saturday night featuring funky dance tunes and herbal cocktails created by Jess Starwood with ingredients from Ventura Spirits.
